>Thanks for your honest opinion. I also assume that a European buy will have VAT inclusion, where buying in the US will be free of that tax. Do you agree?
Mentioned in previous letter prices are without VAT. You have to pay VAT on the border when you import VFP package, but custom do not care about so small players like single developers :-)
Anyway it will be cheaper to buy from US, nevertheless that on some software MS place labels - ONLY for USA & Canada.
I suppose that EU prices are higher, because EC panish MS with $450M for monopoly sales techniques and they collect from us this fee :-(
>To all,
>FoxTools.com also had the following option: Microsoft Visual FoxPro Professional - Upgrade - Volume Purchase. It is 5 dollars cheaper, and now I wonder what 'volume purchase' means.
If you have 5+ PC you have right to buy volume licenses. This is only paper license which grant you rights to use some software. In it you can combine diffrent tools but from the same pool. Like 1 Win Svr 2003 + 4 Win XP.
You are obligated to buy additional NFR (only media with software for installation purposes), if you have not the software.
Volume licenses are 3 classes - NL(C), B, A
For class B firm have to be 100+ PC, class A - 500+ and to buy over some quantity licensies
