Hi mark.
Is "refoxing" a common problem?
How often does it happen?

Maybe I'm nieve, but I would think that it would be easier and cheaper for a person to write their own code.

Lets say you sell your software to a mom and pop shop, like most what my clients are... I can't imagine them hiring a fox coder to "refox".
Although I guess some slime-ball can get a hold of my code and refox.

But, either way, isn't it an expensive proposition?

I guess it time to plant some bomb in my code. :)

>I would not post it. The reason is it does not take much to deter someone from decompiling a program. Only the serious thieves will attempt to crack your encrypted code. There is no 100% way of preventing anyone from decompiling any code regardless of the language. I think Refox is the best available for VFP apps right now. There probably will not be anyone who will come up with anything better. Meanwhile, those who do use its branding to protect their apps the best they can could be hurt by this.

>>As you know refox decompiles VFP apps. The makers of it have claimed that once you 'brand' you .exe with a refox password that others can't decompile it. Well after paying for it I found a way around their 'branding'. This really upset me because the only reason I bought it was because I felt forced to do so. When I discovered the way around I told them about it and asked for my $ back. It's been months now and despite all my emails still no response. At one point I told them I would make the work-around public unless they gave me my money back. STILL no response. As it stands I'm tried of waiting for them.

>>My question is how does everyone feel about me posting the fix here? Unless someone has a good reason why I should not do it I plan to do so later today.

>>Thanks!
