>Before I installed Version 8, if there was a power loss on a PC or incorrectly turned off, I would never, files would very rarely get corrupted.Only the CDX file might get damaged. But in version 8, I regularly get calls from clients where they accidently plug out PC's and I am constantly get service calls to fix corrupted data. I know for example that I can open up the corrupted data in version 7 but cannot open it up in version 8.

They got corrupted the same but VFP8 can detect table corruption which previous versions wouldn't. See INFO: Data Reliability Enhancements in Visual FoxPro 8.0 mskb #814131, SET TABLEVALIDATE Command help and SP1 Readme for details.
