>Why? Because I think it is incorrect to give advise when you don't have the facts to back it up. Remember, the question was which was the better tool. The adivice given was - and I am paraphrasing here - "Hey, if you know VFP, just use it - the results will be pretty much the same". Sorry, the results may not be the same - and - it did not answer the fundemental question of what the better tool was.

>One, I don't think Ed needs you to defend him. Two, with respect to trying to be right all the time. Well, guilty as charged. When I post something, I have this funny knack about wanting to be be correct in what I write. Intrestingly enough however, you don't really have to try hard - you just have try to be right. Usually, that is all that is required. If you don't have the desire to expect what people post is correct - or at least - has a basis in fact - then I am probably wasting my time writing this response.

The trashing comes when you emphasize that he gives bad advice. My additions to this thread may be moot, but again, don't throw your arms up and claim "I didn't do nothing", "I'm only trying to make MY point".

I hope for VFP (technical) postings to be correct, but I would not expect that everyone accepts my opinion just because I try too hard.

I'm not trying to defend Mr. Pikman here, just expressing myself.

BTW I enjoyed your co-authored title 'Enterprise Development in VFP', I just wish that it had more examples.
