Hello,
Total Linux newb here, and I am trying to get my feet wet with a file server. What I am looking to do is just create a place I can store files from my laptop on, as well hold mp3 and other music files to share with several pc's on my network.

My question is the specs I need on the box itself. I have an old P3 677 sitting around, and I can throw some memory and a large hard drive on it if it is powerful enough. Any suggestions? Should I go bigger? Thanks!
