I don't agree on this one Sylvain. The collating sequence has nothing to do here. It only changes the order in which items are displayed, not *how* they are displayed. Frédéric's problem is of another nature and has to see with the codepage of his DBASE IV table.

VFP tables may contain a special tag that indicates under which code page they were created. If coming from DBASE IV, it might be 437 or 850 or another DOS codepage, depending of your location. Type SET CPDIALOG ON in the command window, then try to open the table in question. If you're asked for a code page, select 437. If all your fields display well, you're done. If it's not the case, you'll have to select another DOS codepage, but before all, you'll need to remove the codepage tag. That's the purpose of the CPZERO utility found in the \TOOLS\CPZERO subdirectory.
