Absolutely! I wasn't picking on Texas universities, it just happened that this study came from a Texas university. (Assuming it exists; have you heard of Texas Womans University?)
The corn lobby shows up most prominently here in the form of high gasoline prices. They actually managed to get it passed into law that a certain percentage of every gallon of gas sold in Illinois has to be ethanol. This is a PITA for the oil companies and they sock it to us good. Gas is still over $2.00 a gallon here and expected to go higher. Pretty soon it'll be like living in Europe, minus the history and scenery.
