Jim,

A valid point; you can't avoid them but as for extremely reliable, tell that to Mr. Peppercorn <g>. How often have we all "trashed" project files, forms, etc. due to corrupt memo fields? In actuality, Foxpro is reliable especially when proper data handling techniques are observed. My point was that when there is a problem with a memo field's table, unrecoverable data loss is far more likely.

If the application is mission critical and recovery from last nights backup is unacceptable, you won't find me using them.
