>A customer LOVES Quattro Pro, so my problem. I need to format and load Quattro Pro in the same way we can work with VFP to build and format Excel. I've looked HARD for reference material that will tell how to format the VFP commands to manipulate Quattro Pro and can not find any. Does anyone know of a book or web site that has this the VFP commands needed for Quattro Pro?

I think Quatropro can import DBF formats. I did a QP project about 5 years ago to deliver charts based on DBFs. QP has a good macro language so all I used VFP for was to create a delimited text file and the "RUN" a preformated QP "file/sheet" with an "auto-start-macro".

I don't know about an "automation" with QP - but the auto-start macro feature should work. And yes, I cleared some cob-webs and noticed a Quatro Pro Command Book (for DOS - but it had a GUI mode) including "@functiions and macros!"!!! Heck I even have the QP software on a my speedy 486D (60mghz) in the back of a closet (or something).

Email your snail and I'll get the book to you if it will help. But you should be able to find a "devotees" site on the web - I was debugging a Quick Basic app last week and needed some info and surprise surprise - there was a web site dedicated (several really) to QB devotees!
