Paul,
I should have said that long ago:) Today I'd suggest SSE instead. MSDE and SSE are both limited free versions of SQL server (SSE - SQL Server Express 2005). MSDE have 2Gb and 5 users limit where SSE increased limits to 4Gb and 25 users. Actually SQL server developer edition would do much better and now is $49. Formerly it was at a price hard to afford. SQL server developer has all the graphical tools. If you go for SSE (I haven't tried) then check SQL server site. I seem to recall there was something for web based management including tools.
With CA almost everything is handled by VFP for you. To you it's just another native foxpro cursor and you might use your existing aliases thus do not change the form controls' data bindings.
Check downloads for Mark McCasland's CA builder.

Cetin recommended this to me a while ago and suggested using the cursoradapter in order to do this (in order to improve security), but this right now is a bit beyond my programming capabilities and I need a book/web page that could walk me through it (I've tried MSDE briefly and without a GUI it (for me) is difficult to work with).

The problem that I see upcoming is that all my forms and reports are based on getting the data natively from Foxpro tables. I of course would need to change this. Is that something that I can do easily (I have VFP8.0)? Most of my forms have commands that populate them with data from the tables ("locate" and then form_text_box = fieldname.value), and a lot of replace commands to either save or make changes to the tables in foxpro.
