Hi folks!

I have a bit of a quandry here. I have code from a pre-existing project. This is the problem...

1) There is a form which has a grid on it. I select Add (from either the toolbar, or a popup menu) to add a new record to the grid.

2) The first field is an employee code field, which has VALID code for it. If the value here is not valid, you cannot leave the field.

3) So, normally, you enter in a valid value, then tab on to the next field, or press F2 to get a listing of correct values, which you can select and then continue to the next field.

4) But..... here is the bad part.... if, while this field has focus, and you haven't validated the field, and tabbed out of it, and you select the CANCEL button on the form, bad things happen now. A small system window appears (as it should), allowing you to select YES or NO, to be sure you really want to CANCEL. Unfortunately, you can't select ANYTHING now. The program is "hung". Actually, no matter what you do, you still have focus on the employee code field, and can even type there, but you cannot select anything on the YES/NO buttons on the new form.

OK.... is the problem that the Employee Code field is still keeping focus, and therefore no way (as it stands) to exit at this point? What am I overlooking, and have any of you run into this behavior?

Thanks!!!
