I checked this one - and it seemed to provide the kinds of assurances we rarely get from "services vendors - even on this board). I especially liked the declaration:
"awesome and underrated Microsoft Visual FoxPro development environment."

When was the last time [even] M$ said something like this about VFP. I get the sense that 3rd parties are picking up where M$ dropped the ball. The third parties seem to be looking at engineering a VFP - like (non-windows) platform.

With M$ equities in the daldrums, perhaps some of the VFP engineers should look at their non-disclosures and find an "out", and then join up with some of these groups. My understanding is that many UNIX like configurations require at least one "database" runtime license on the sever - maybe there's some new wealth to be had here - It would certainly open markets for me - I would be happy allowing the .NOT heads having all the M$ business (somehow I entertain these would also create more markets:).

>>>Yes, Python is indeed a programming language. It does have an interactive interpreter (a command window), however, it does not have native database support like VFP does. It can connect to almost any database, though, such as MySQL, SQL Server etc.
