Hmm, I was actually doing the same thing back when I started with AVFP - I'll try to retrieve the code. I think I understand what you want: Ordinarily pages can be protected using the "member-only" code in the demo app, but for a file like an EXE, someone could bookmark it and bypass the login process. I think I did this by giving it a temp name, but, I'll try to find exactly what I did.
The docs should be improved in Version 3. Rick Strahl has some articles on this, although the methods won't match exactly. Most of his articles dealing with vfp web programming will give equivalent examples using vfp mtdlls such as his latest Unicode article in the latest Foxpro Advisor...
