In his FIRST sentence, quoting: "The official MS policy, as stated to me by Ken Levy, is that MS does not release a bug list or
bug fix list on "dot-oh" releases.".
Why have you pursued this SILLY line of questioning anyway??????

>>>>>The official MS policy, as stated to me by Ken Levy, is that MS does not release a bug list or bug fix list on "dot-oh" releases. You only get that on a service pack. This is not just VFP specific, it applies across all their development languages. This is a pet peeve of mine. I feel that we can't do our due diligence for our employers/clients unless we know what the known problems are. What is a molehill for one developer is a mountain for another. However, MS continues to stick to this lame policy, most likely for marketing reasons (hey, I can't blame them for not wanting to give their competitors ammunition). I'd love to see a law that says commercial software apps must publish such lists. It'd put all the players on a level field and would help us do the proper evaluations before moving to a new version. All software is going to have bugs, you just have to know that the bugs are truly small. Additionally, it might make the released products more stable, since the mfg.
