Without hacking into FoxPro executable or runtime modules, I seriously doubt it can be done. There are no external place that VFP gets these default settings. They are hardcoded into the VFP application itself.

The first time the Document View window is openned and closed, a record is writen to the FoxUser resource file. If that file is not available (SET RESOURCE OFF), then no record is writen, and therefore no default values are established, except those hardcoded.

I am sure you have a reason for not using the resource file. But as you see, it provides the only solution to this problem.

Are you sharing the development folder with other developers? Is this why you have the resource turned off.
