>There are 4 .NET languages from Microsoft, VB, C#, C++, and J#. Instead of throwing out ideas, I suggest you spend time learning the .NET architecture (framework, CLR, languages, ADO.NET, .NET languages, etc.). There is no local data engine in .NET, it is all built around the ADO.NET interfaces. In order to add the VFP functionality to .NET, much more has to be added to the .NET framework and languages, not just commands and functions. And in the end, what is best for developers is to get new data functionality in VB and C# rather than yet another .NET language to select from with the same or less functionality as say VB. If you spend more time reading books and actually using .NET, you will be able to start answering your own questions here.

Are'nt ideas a kind of feedback? So does this mean that before giving you feedback I'll have to pre-post it to you to see if it's acceptable? Then after that I'll send you the official <g> feedback.

Yet again no direct answer to my original question. Is my english that bad? If it is then I'm deeply sorry. But the weird thing is that the najority over here don't seem to have those problems with my english. Usually when I ask a question I get the answer that fits with it.

I understand why you would'nt respect me. But don't you think you should at least respect yourself. First where are ALL the threads where I insulted so many people? I just hope for you that you won't come back to me with threads where I have arguments about what others are saying. If that's what you mean by saying insults perhaps a good dictionary is in order.

The sad thing for both of us here is that I never had the chance to go to a devcon and see one of your presentation. I heard about those and I also heard about the fantastic things you developed. So because of that I never had the chance to speak with you and perhaps become your friend. So because of all that I don't put you on a perpetual pedestal. To me you're not Ken Levy the wonderful developer who's also one of the nicest guy I ever met. You're somebody (whose named Ken Levy) in charge of the marketing of a developper tool I happen to like a lot. And to me the marketing for VFP just sucks.

So I hope you understand what I mean. My rants are not directed at you the individual. They're directed at the person in charge of marketing for VFP. You get it?

If eventually you're replaced by somebody else for the marketing of VFP and I still pick on you then you'll be able to say that I probably have a problem with you. But I can garantee you that won't happen. I mean me still picking on you <g>

Set feedback on

This thursday I went to a MS event on ASP 2.0
Like always those events are first class.

But something I noted. Where we're asked about the development language we use the choices look something like
VB 6 and before
VC++ 6 and before
VS .Net
all versions of VFP

This bugs me a bit.

All versions of VFP could mean that it's been a while since there's been a new version for it. don't you think is should be

VFP 9 and before

??

Set feedback off
