Hi Bonnie!

My once starving brain is starting to see a lot of posibilities and is not sure what to take. But one thing is for sure. I definintely would need to look into the posibility of a Web Service.

Although, in Cetin's post he mentioned that this was not need... and I'm just wondering how this would be posible without suffering on speed. That's what I like about this technology... so many posibilities of each problem.

I was playing around with it yesterday and I was just wondering. Is it safe to replicate the table structure (with master-slave relationships) in a single dataset and then return this data set to the form through the web service?

My reason for this is that I have a form with 3 combo boxes and a list box. The contents of the list box would depend on what the user selects on the 3rd combo box. The contents of the 3rd combo box would depend on the what was chosen on the 2nd. And the contents of the 2nd combo box would depend on what the user chose on the 1st.

The first is simply a complete list of countries. The 2nd would be the regions in that country. The 3rd are the affiliates in that region. And the list box is simply a list of processes performed by the company selected.

This is very easy to accomplish when all the data set is available on the client's machine. However, loading time is close to coffee break 8 )

Any design suggesstions on how better achieve this?

Thanx! in advance 8 )

Martin
