>In FoxPro.2x you could hide a folder and still access its Table and other files. In Visual Foxpro (at least upto VFP 6 SP 5) you cannot. Is it an Operating System problem or can anyone help ?

You should be able to open and use a table in a hidden folder, however, many commands and functions such as file(), directory() do not "see" hidden folders or their behavior is erratic. I seem to recall that ALTER TABLE (file in hidden directory) causes a weird problem in that it will inexplicably delete the table and fails to recreate it with your new structure and generate a message that the table does not exist.

In general, I have found hidden folders to be problematic and avoid using them.
