It has been awhile but it seems like there was a condition when you would want to first use CLOSE ALL and then you could issue CLEAR ALL. The sequence is important to prevent throwing an error. Then there is RELEASE ALL EXTENDED and its variations.

Most of the time I would use these commands in the command window to “clean up things”. :)
