Herbert,

Both VFP 3.0 and 5.0 are 32-bit applications. Both generate only 32-bit executables. The difference is that VFP 3.0 was written to support Microsoft's Win 32s extensions. These extensions allow some 32-bit applicatoins to run in Windows 3.1. This means that VFP 3.0 and the applications it creates can run on Windows 3.1 with Win 32s installed. Win32s is somewhat buggy, so you'll probably find that VFP 3.0 applications will run better on Windows 95/NT.

VFP 5.0 does not support Win 32s, it and the applications you create with it will only run under Windows 95/NT.

>Visual 5.0 is a full 32 bit application. Is Visual 3.0 a 16 bit application? Also, are the exe's generated by the Visual 3.0 also 16 or 32 bit? I could not find any documentation in the Microsoft books that come with the application.
