The most common reason for this error is a mismatched language DLL. Make sure you have the proper DLL installed (like VFP8deu.DLL for German).

I see you already deleted the FOXUSER.* files and let them be recreated. That file could also be part of the problem.

If you use VFP8 make sure you have SP1 installed.
