I agree with you that. I will try as much as possible to avoid Hidden Folders because as you said some commands (eg USE ...) will work with Hidden Folders but others such as (SET DEFAULT TO ... , CD ...) will generate the error "Invalid Path or Filename". This is an inconsistency that Microsoft should eradicate.
