Incremental search works a little bit different from what you describe. As long as interval between keystrokes doesn't exceed _INCSEEK value, FoxPro will add it to the current search string. When interval exceed _INCSEEK value, search string gets reset to the last keystroke.

>VFP9 Question. I have combobox in an order entry form that is tied to a list of cusotmers. I would like to be able to start typing the customer number (alphanumeric) and have it automatically fill in the selection. For example if I have ABC, AZA, and XXX when you type an A, it goes to ABC and then when you hit a Z it changes to the AZA and then if you type an X it goes to the XXX since there is no AZX. I thought this was some sort of automatic thing, but my control only lets you choose a letter the FIRST keystroke and does nothing on subsequent keystrokes.
