That's the point. 'You' converted. IOW it was you who control the optimization. All my similar conversions ended up noticable speed boosts. If I do remember right an import file had about 400K records. 400K*4tables importing in 20-25mins is slow for me.

>No, remember that I converted the LL files to 4 different tables and read them with Scan but, if not slower than LL file funcs, it appears to be just as slow ( some 20-25 mins per import). Maybe it seems slower cos I was expecting it now to be like sh*t off a chrome shovel ! :-)
