It might be worth checking the new one in and using the diff function in VSS to point out the changes between the last known good on and now. That might point you at the problematic property. After you've diffed it, undo the checkin so you don't have that bad version in VSS permanently.

Thos are only going to work when the form is running, not when you try to open it in the designer.
