Hi Hugo,

The SOAP Toolkit will continue to be supported for VFP developers, per the VFP FAQ at http://msdn.microsoft.com/vfoxpro/productinfo/faq/default.aspx. This doesn't address the issue entirely, especially as Web Service standards continue to evolve, but I think it meets current needs. Another option may be to use wwSOAP from West Wind, which is a native VFP implementation.

Q: How long will the SOAP Toolkit included in Visual FoxPro 9.0 be supported by Microsoft?

A: Licensed users of Visual FoxPro 9.0 have a special lifecycle support plan for the SOAP Toolkit, supported by Microsoft on the same support plan as Visual FoxPro 8.0 which is through December 2008 and extended support through December 2013.

>My coworker just brought to my attention that SOAP will soon be deprecated (April 2005). Now being it the foundation of XML Web Services from VFP, the question is how would we consume or offer Web Services using VFP in the future? I saw that this was asked in UT a couple of times, but there are no answers to it.
