I ran into this problem too. I was setting the MousePointer property of a label to 99 ("custom") and the MouseIcon property to a .cur file. It worked fine within VFP but not in a distributed EXE. The consensus of opinion here on UT was that it simply doesn't work, and you need to use the API to change the mouse pointer in a distributed EXE. As David has suggested, look in the message base for last year and you may find this thread. Also, I think there is an article in the UT KB about how to use the API to do this.
