>>>There was an old TV show called "WKRP in Cincinatti" and one of the characters was named Les Nessman. One of their better jokes came after one of his news programs. "WKRP in Cincinatti, with more music and Les Nessman." Would a newscaster character named "Menos Minossa" lend itself to the same pun? "Radio VINO, con mas musica y Menos Minossa"

>Thanks for the pointer. I think I knew that, but in a conversation class we are not that concerned about accent marks (except when they alter pronunciation and meaning for things, like conjugating past tense). Besides, I don't have a clue as to how to get the accent marks from my American English keyboard.

I will add my suggestion to the list of already mentioned. When I write in Spanish I do it in Word. I set the Word Language to Traditional Spanish. Then I type without accents. MS Word shows wrongly spelled words (in Spanish) with those red underlines (I forgot what they are called). Then I right-mouse click on the wrongly spelled word and select the right one from the list of suggestions. This works very well for me.
