Hi Garrett,
I studiously avoid playing with user colors. To help me appreciate that, I continuously change my system colors just to make sure that what I'm developing will look just fine no matter what the user does with his system.

For example. I'm using the offline UT Navigator right now. Most of the forms have a stippled gray background, which has been set by the developers. You would think that was safe enough! But, my current colour scheme has light tan buttons, dark tan highlights and green/blue title bars. So... the linnocuous light gray looks rotten! :-)
