Slava is Russian (and I guess other cyrillic languages) means Glory.
BTW, what do you mean that many names have ov as the end of it? Do you mean first names? I could not find any name which would end on "OV".
Last names, though, would often have OV at the end (or OFF in English version, like Sokoloff, Petroff)
