One other thing. ADO's ability to take data off-line is in many ways superior to VFP's offline views.

BTW, Petersen, if you're listening. When you take an ADO record set offline is their any persistence with the rules defined in the database for that data. IOW, what happens to triggers, validation etc when you take the data offline? Is all of that discarded until you try to bring the data back on line?
