You can also use a cursor as a storage media, or arrays.

>I will see what I can do. I am processing a file that has a 21,000+ character record and over 4,600 fields. I will probably wind up either setting MVCOUNT permanently to 5200 for the handful of computers that run this process. I may attempt to weed out all of the variables that I am not actively using or just process that substr bits of the record on the fly directly into my FoxPro table fields.
