I'm not sure which version of Quattro Pro you have, mine is 10.0, but in mine there is some help on this. I found a section called "Example of a VBA macro that will manipulate a document." This indicated creating a QP object using the same syntax Terry gave you but with ("QuattroPro.PerfectScript") While I have never has a need to automate Quattro Pro, this makes sense in that I have used the same basic syntax with WordPerfect -just changing the application name. Hope this helps.
