Increasinsing it would mean supporting 64Bit Longs and probably another Table header type. Adding another table type which could only be used by newer versions was done when introducing dbc's and nobody has a problem with using old style tables where necessary.
Since smaller outfits can desing dbf-table based packeages that can grow beyond 2GB using foxpro typed tables (codebase), there might also be a more "business" reasons stoping such development at MS. 2 Gig was fine in the late eighties, but today you can put more data into vfp arrays than into simple (no memo/index files) tables. Seems skewed <g>...
Adding 64 Bit support should also be formeost on the list for vfp10, since without that capability selling vfp based apps is an even more uphill battle as 64Bit OS becomes standard.
