Yes these threads are worthwhile. We can probably thank Ken Levy the change between the 8 and 9 EULAs because, IIRC, he did bring that particular EULA up with MS attorneys. Granted that was mostly in the "Whil and Linux" context, but tht "prior version" issue was also hot at that time.

As you can also see, Ken did post a reply elsewhere on this thread though not in regards to the "workaround" issue. But we can see he has at least noticed one of them.
