Glenn,

MM.NET is definately the way to go if you want to be hand-held to *VERY* well structure n-tier architecture - not only is the investment worth it you'll also bring your knowledge of .NET in general to whole new level.

However, free is free when it's free! Don't pass up an opportunity to check the Enterprise Library. I wouldn't recommend it to you for building an application since your new to .NET but even a well seasoned .NET developer will get his or her socks blown off when they see the code.

Again, this is a very lose and overly flexible framework for any level of .NET Developers. E.L. needs a lot of decipline - I see plenty of developer misusing the blocks. There is a lot reading to be done in order to properly use the E.L. App Blocks and they are not doing it.

My recomendation is to choose a framework and stick with it - regardless if you think you made the wrong decision.
