>If it is an ActiveX control, you can get the location in Visual Basic's Components Dialog Box on the Project menu (if you have VB). The control should be on the list if it is registered, and will show a path. However, if you're getting an error saying the control isn't registered, then you'll need to find it, which as you've said is the problem in the first place.

At some point, the control might have been deleted, but the registry entry is still there, so VFP is still displaying the control in the toolbox.

Well that's impossible: I was looking for the ocx file or the dll file and trying to add in the tools/options/controls menu of VFP. I've tried to install all the libraries i've seen in th windows/system folder and in the winfax folder, and then, i don't know in wich step, the control has appear in the toolbar. I've not deleted anything between the two steps. What i'm looking for is a place where vfp stores information about each activex control added to it, so i can see which gile must i register.
Thanks.
