My great-something grandfather moved here from England in the 1600s, his grandson fought in what we Yanks call the American Revolutionary war in the late 1770s. At some point, he obtained an original landgrant in what is now South Carolina that is still in my family. The original house (over 200 years old) is still there where my late grandfather's youngest sister still lives. I would say it worked out just peachy for us. < bg >
