Today I stumbled on the page for VS6 SP6 at http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/downloads/updates/sp/vs6/sp6/default.aspx and it states exactly what you said. However SP5 is still available for VFP6 (VS6) as pointed on the same page.
