It's nice to know I'm not going nuts.

I didn't try any earlier versions because my main project, which is in peices, at the moment, relies on some views that use subqueries which are only available in VFP9.

I wonder why it is a problem with pageframes?

It would be really nice if while fixing this bug they could provide a facility to set the actual load order of controls on a form (visual).

My current workaround is to create more specific views which means doubling up definitions in a lot of places.
