Yes, that will work. I guess I was expecting something a bit more robust for the startup routine in the framework. What I really want to do is have a splash with logo etc like most apps (maybe 3" X 5"), then go to the main screen to display the login.


I have found a way to supress the main screen in the startup by placing

SCREEN=OFF

in a config.fpw file, but is there a way to make this happen via code in the framework or is the _screen already displayed before any code is executed?

My thoughts were to call a custom form and place a timeout as you suggested before issuing _screen.visible = .T.
