Thanks very much for both answers.

Although I do most of my work in VFP9, this particular app is still in VFP8 but I will probably migrate it to VFP9 soon.

In the mean time, I will store the file name in a character field and try out the BLOB solution after migrating the app to VFP9.

Do you have any idea why one bmp would display correctly and another would not? Just curious.
