Hi Ed.

At the expense of potentially getting flamed here... Please allow me to clarify this issue...


There is no property called topform. As far as the ShowWindow() Property goes, it's importance is not in the making of stable references. All you need is an object reference to that. The reason why the Top Level (SDI) Form is important is because SDI forms and _Screen are the only containers that can contain a ToolBar. So, if you want your form to host a toolbar - or more accurately, have the ability for a toolbar to be docked in its boundaries - the toolbar must both have its ShowWindow Property to to In Top Level Form - and - the host form must be a Top-Level Form.
