I have never encountered the problem you describe. I have tried a few simple implementations to see if I could trick VFP into trying to use a table with a use statement following a copy to file statement. So far VFP seem to know when the new table has been created and is available for use.
I am on Win95 on a Novell 4.0 network -- If that may make a difference. I think I'll try it again at home on standalone Win95. If that gives me an error I'll let you know.
I would be interested in the results of your investigation if you would care to let me know your conclusions.
