I agree with you 100%. It was very frustrating. We eventually verified (supposedly) everything via the telephone (again) and should only be charged once because yes, it put on a business credit card. We'll just have to wait and see. Now we have to wait to receive the media and verify the charges...

It wouldn't have been so bad if the first person we spoke with #1 knew that we had to purchase the media, and #2 could distinguish between Visio and Visual Foxpro, and #3 could understand English and could speak it clearly.

To be fair, this is the worst case I've ever experienced. Never has it been so difficult to purchase a MSFT product or get a product ID in the past. Let's just hope he (the first person we spoke with) was a new employee, will get better with experience, will improve his understanding of English, will learn to pronounce his English words clearer, and no one else has the same experience. I could understand it if my co-worker with the heavy southern accent was speaking with him, but the one doing the ordering has no accent and is very clear and easy to understand. Oh well, just another day.

>See its stuff like that which reeeaaaly gets me ticked. So what were they GOING to do? Just not ever send the order? Someone took an order for something that doesn't exist? Did it ever occur to them to call YOU back? What would of happened if you didn't? Just nothing ever show up while you sit there twittling yer thumbs? Was this on a credit card? Are you gonna get 2 bills now? How screwed up is the order really gonna be now? See it's like a headace in the making.....

>>We finally did that. We spoke with another salesperson this time (from India still). This salesperson told us that we could only purchase it with the media, not purchase a volumne license so we had to pay 27.00 more dollars to get the media and the product id.

>>>Doesn't seem like it should take that long. I'd consider calling them back and *hopefully* talking so someone you can understand better & verify that the order was placed correctly.
>>>
>>>>I wouldn't be so concerned except that it has been almost 8 hours and no email with the licenses yet...

>>>>>>We finally purchased VFP9 for all developers and now all that we have to do is wait for the email from MSFT with the additional license numbers. We purchased it this morning under volumne licensing and then called MSFT to get the license numbers. We have a couple of MSDN licenses but need a couple more separate VFP9 licenses. We spoke with a MSFT salesman whom we think may be in India (it was too difficult to tell or understand) so even after phonetically sounding out Visual Foxpro (he kept wanting to give us licenses for Visio not Visual foxpro) three times as well as the product id, I am not sure what licenses we will end up with! No return email yet from MSFT so we'll see...

>>>>>Hopefully you'll get the correct licenses. Generally I can understand what someone is saying if their accent is really strong - but of course there are the few occasions that I can't (such as last night when dealing with Sprint PCS & trying to get my fine new $650 cellphone/pocketPC to connect to the internet properly). After I've said the same thing 5 or 6 times I finally ask to talk to someone else and nicely tell them that I simply can't understand what they're saying. Seems kind of stupid to me that such a problem should even happen. I spent almost 40 minutes talking to someone (well 2 people actually) and it SHOULD of taken more like 5 minutes. If it takes 8 times as long to do anything, how much money are they saving by this outsourcing?
