Hey Vic,

Yeah, over the years I've become even more adamant against the dataset. See http://www.utmag.com/wconnect/wc.dll?LevelExtreme~9,7,10,,538

An Objectspaces-like business framework won't be available from Microsoft for a couple more years so Microsoft can't push O/R Mapping yet but using business entities are more in line with the direction that Microsoft is moving, the article on MSDN is just a beginning of geting the word out.

The O/R mapper that I recommend now is Versant. They have great IDE tools including a reverse engineering tool. (If I remember correctly the tool I showed before was CodeSmith. It reads the table schema and creates business objects out of them). It used to be that using entity business objects was a lot of work because of the lack of tools and databinding was a problem. With Versant you can use a domain model in a RAD environment because they have included everything you need with Visual Studio integrated tools.

p.s. I'll send you an email.
