> We have a function with the name evl that we created in VFP 6. Recently we upgraded to VFP 8 and now the code that uses our version of the evl function doesn't work correctly. Is there a way to call our evl function and disregard the native VFP evl function?

Did yours do something else? If it did the same thing (as ours did), you can just ignore your old function and let the new VFP internal function do the work. Sounds, however, like that isn't the case.
