This company offers a $65 DLL that does NOT require registration. Product includes some sample VFP code as well. And there is an evaluation version for you to try before you buy.

Here's what I like about this reasonably priced product:

- easy to distribute
- single file
- small file (64K)
- super fast (claimed to be 2-3x faster than Dynazip)
- inexpensive

Compare these attributes to a product like Dynazip that is over 500K, needs to be registered, and costs several hundred dollars.

The downside is that the developer interface isn't as nice as OOP orientated ActiveX/COM components. Also, this product does not allow you to create self extracting EXE files.

I've used this product on several projects with good success.
