>I have a customer at has purchased the Visual FoxPro 9.0 upgrade and can not get it installed. They are receiving a message stating that a prerequisite qualifying version is not found. They currently have VFP 5.0 installed on this machine. Based on this Microsoft web page
http://msdn.microsoft.com/howtobuy/upgrade/#vfox version 5.0 is a qualifying version. I have opened a case with tech support. They seem to think only versions 7 and 8 qualify. Would you have any clarification on this issue?
Jeff,
AFAIK, VFP9 install doesn't check for previous versions of VFP on PC.
The prerequisites are Windows components required to run VFP9. Installing WIndows prerequisites is the first step in VFP9 installation.
