It really doesn't matter what Tech Support "thinks" because the page you refer to says V5.0 and that's good enough. Period. Even if it was unintended, it is as you've seen and so should be honoured, even if they change it later.

It sounds not, but is it possible that the client is confusing VFP 'installation pre-requisites' with a version pre-requisite?

>I have a customer at has purchased the Visual FoxPro 9.0 upgrade and can not get it installed. They are receiving a message stating that a prerequisite qualifying version is not found. They currently have VFP 5.0 installed on this machine. Based on this Microsoft web page http://msdn.microsoft.com/howtobuy/upgrade/#vfox version 5.0 is a qualifying version. I have opened a case with tech support. They seem to think only versions 7 and 8 qualify. Would you have any clarification on this issue?
